Psalm 86
1. Hear me, please! - repentance (vv. 1-4)
2. There is none like you, Lord! -- confidence (vv. 5-10)
3. Teach me your way! -- wholehearted (vv. 11-13)
4. Help me! -- complaint (v. 14)
5. You have helped and comforted me! -- thanks (vv. 15-17)
A prayer of response -- Lord Jesus, I don't have the strength to handle this trial, I really feel helpless, yes, poor and needy, like David. But I lift my eyes from my need to you. You will never fail me - not because I'm good - but, because you are who you are; loving, faithful, powerful and completely dependable. My trust is in You, Lord.
