A God Honoring Perspective of Ministry
1 Thessalonians 5:12-13 NIV

12 Now we ask you, brothers and sisters, to acknowledge those who work hard among you, who care for you in the Lord and who admonish you. 13 Hold them in the highest regard in love because of their work. Live in peace with each other.

1. Respect/esteem your pastor
2. Live in peace with each other
2 Timothy 4:1-4 NIV

In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of his appearing and his kingdom, I give you this charge: 2 Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction. For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.

Qualities of an effective minister:
1. Faithful
2. Trustworthy
3. Integrity
1 Corinthians 4:1 NIV
1 This, then, is how you ought to regard us: as servants of Christ and as those entrusted with the mysteries God has revealed.
